Job summary

CCAR in central Illinois seeks a Developmental Therapist as part of an interdisciplinary team serving children from birth to three years old. You will participate in family service plan development, visit families at home across several counties, and help families access community resources.

You will maintain progress records, communicate with the service coordinator, and assist with equipment needs and playgroup planning while meeting required CPR/First Aid and background checks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant field.
• 240 hours of direct service to children birth to three under supervision.
• Illinois Early Intervention Systems Training completion.
• Proof of training on assessment tools for global evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Participation in individualized family service plan development.
• Meeting with children and families in their homes across central Illinois.
• Scheduling, evaluating, and screening children; reporting to service coordinator.
• Maintaining records of curriculum progress and services provided.
• Linking families to community resources and other providers.
• Assist families in obtaining specialized equipment or devices.
• Aid in planning and implementing periodic playgroups.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Special Education, Child Development, Early Intervention, or Elementary Education.
