Job summary

Genentech, based in South San Francisco, is seeking a Squad Learning Business Partner to design and deliver onboarding, ongoing education, and governance for field-based Customer Engagement teams. You will collaborate with home office, squads, and therapeutic areas to translate complex science into practical learning tools.

In this role, you’ll lead remote and in-person training, leverage LMS and analytics to measure impact, and coach field teams to drive performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Education, or related field.
• MBA or related graduate degree preferred.
• 5+ years in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry with facilitation experience.
• 3+ years leading deliverables across a remote team and organizing functional teams to design learning projects.
• 5+ years delivering highly technical/scientific data to groups.
• Deep understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM).
• Exceptional presentation, communication, and virtual/in-person facilitation skills for national meetings and director-level sessions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, LMS, and virtual training platforms (Zoom, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Onboarding & capability building: design and deliver onboarding for Customer Engagement hires.
• Continuous education & curriculum management: develop modules on product launches, regulatory updates, and on-label data.
• Dynamic facilitation: act as a credible facilitator at national meetings and regional squad events.
• Certification & governance: develop compliant certification strategies across field roles.
• Field coaching & performance support: conduct field visits and real-time coaching with leadership.
• Cross-functional partnership: liaise between field teams, Squad Learning Partners, and Therapeutic Squads.
• Learning innovation & analytics: leverage AI tools, LMS, and analytics to measure training impact.
