Job summary

FUJIFILM Biosciences in Santa Ana, California, is hiring a Production Planning Manager to oversee the master production schedule, capacity planning, and KPI reporting for multiple production sites.

The role requires collaboration across Production, Procurement, Master Data, Quality, and Sales to meet demand, optimize inventories, and lead SDI meetings. Prior biotech/pharma planning and SAP ERP experience preferred; strong MS Project and Excel skills essential.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required
• A degree with concentration in supply chain, operations, mathematics, economics, purchasing, or related field is preferred
• ASCM or ISM Certification is preferred but not required
• Minimum 3 years of planning experience in biotech/pharma manufacturing environment or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of people management experience
• Production scheduling experience in ERP system or related inventory planning tools
• In-depth knowledge of material requirements planning and production scheduling
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Interpersonal, collaborative skills, and proactive problem solving through data driven analysis
• Operate with a sense of accountability
• Strong facilitation and influencing skills in cross-functional environment
• Ability to communicate information efficiently
• Proficient in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Teams
• Ability to engage with senior management
• Self-motivated
• SAP ERP experience preferred
• Attend meetings as required
• Excellent MS Office and MS Project skills
• Ability to speak and read English
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to clearly and concisely convey ideas to others

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with S&OP / Master Supply Planner on demand forecast and manufacturing output projections
• Collaborate cross functionally with Production, Procurement, Master Data, Warehouse, Product Line Managers and Quality
• Track and analyze finished goods inventories and maintain optimum monthly inventory levels
• Partner with Demand Planner to manage material purchases and charge backs
• Provide and maintain detailed master production schedule for all products in CA
• Maintain data and communication for manufacturing dates with Sales software
• Lead weekly SDI review meetings to align supply with demand
• Process monthly scrap reports and coordinate discard of expired materials
• Create and distribute the 12-week Master Production Schedule weekly
• Develop and implement planning tools using MS Project, PowerBI, spreadsheets and relational databases
• Create and maintain planning and logistics metrics for process improvements
• Establish planning parameters and align materials management, demand planning and sourcing
• Support BOM changes, demand, and supply, and raw material inventory control
• Coordinate activities for manufacture, packaging, labeling, shipping, and distribution of products
• Provide training and supervision for department
• Other duties as assigned
