Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking an Associate Specialist, Engineering (Biotechnology Solutions) to support vaccine and biologics process development and manufacturing.

You will work across Bioprocess Technology Solutions, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and R&D to enable development, scale-up, and commercialization of veterinary products. The role emphasizes process development, technology transfer, and continuous improvement while ensuring GMP, USDA, and regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related field.
• Master's degree or PhD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development and scale-up of bioprocesses (microbial, viral, cell culture).
• Support technology transfer from development to manufacturing ensuring robust, scalable processes.
• Participate in process development to meet product quality, safety, and cost targets.
• Assist investigations, validation activities, and continuous improvement using data-driven approaches.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, QC, R&D, Regulatory, and Technical Services.
