Job summary

Merck is hiring a Specialist to provide technical support for Vaccine and Biologicals Manufacturing within a multidisciplinary setting. The role focuses on development, scale-up, transfer to production, and collaboration across Bioprocess Technology Solutions, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and R&D.

The successful candidate will work on process development, investigations and technology transfer while adhering to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry, Protein Chemistry or Microbiology with 2 years’ vaccine/biopharmaceuticals experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent project management, documentation and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and scale up processes or technologies for microbial, virus and cell cultivations and final formulation for veterinary vaccines and therapeutics.
• Transfer processes or technologies to production lines within set timelines while ensuring safety, quality and cost-efficiency.
• Lead or participate in core team meetings, manage risks, and report status to sponsors.
