Job summary

Osprey Life Sciences is seeking a Business Analyst for Multimodal Discovery Platforms to translate complex biological workflows into clear business and technical requirements. You will partner with wet-lab scientists, bioinformaticians, data engineers, and platform teams to map data lifecycles and ensure actionable specifications for platform and data engineering efforts.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in biotechs or life sciences R&D, strong Agile experience, and excellent communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, IT.
• 3–5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar in biotech or life sciences R&D environments.
• Ability to translate scientific workflows into clear software and platform requirements.
• Strong familiarity with multi-omics data modalities and scientific data environments.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and backlog management, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Excellent facilitation, analytical, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand workflows with wet-lab and computational teams to capture data needs and tech requirements.
• Map end-to-end processes and data lifecycles across modalities like single-cell omics and imaging.
• Document current-state and future-state workflows, gaps, and opportunities for data ingestion and analysis.
• Translate use cases into structured business requirements, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Create business capability, process, architecture, and data-flow diagrams for cross-platform clarity.
• Collaborate with platform and data engineering teams to ensure actionable requirements.
• Maintain and groom the product backlog, align sprint goals with the Platform Lead.
• Lead requirements sessions, workflow reviews, and solution-validation activities.
• Develop user documentation, platform guidance, and IT SOPs for adoption.
• Support implementation, testing, rollout, and continuous improvement of digital capabilities.
