Job summary

Yowei Therapeutics is seeking a hands-on Materials Management Supervisor to oversee receipt, control, storage, and movement of raw materials for peptide manufacturing and QC operations in Milpitas, CA. You will ensure adherence to GMP, manage inventory records, and lead a team of materials personnel on-site.

Responsibilities include supervising cycle counts, coordinating with Purchasing/Manufacturing/QC/QA, and maintaining SOPs and training records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in supply chain, operations, business, life sciences, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3+ years of materials-management, warehouse, inventory, receiving, purchasing-support, or production-planning experience in regulated manufacturing.
• 1+ year of lead or supervisory experience, including assigning work and training employees.
• Working knowledge of GMP material controls, inventory traceability, labeling, segregation, storage, investigations, and documentation.
• Experience using ERP, MRP, inventory, barcode, or warehouse-management systems.
• Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets and routine inventory reconciliation and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and problem-solving.
• Ability to work on-site and remain actively involved in daily materials operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily receiving, inspection, quarantine, sampling coordination, storage, staging, issuance, reconciliation, and disposition of raw materials and components.
• Coordinate with materials personnel to ensure safety, accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to procedures.
• Monitor material availability against schedules and escalate shortages or conflicts.
• Maintain accurate inventory records including lot number, quantity, status, location, and expiration.
• Ensure materials are labeled, segregated, stored, and handled per approved status and storage requirements.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Manufacturing, QC, and QA on POs, sampling, testing, release, and staging.
• Supervise cycle counts and physical inventories; investigate discrepancies and document corrections.
• Support investigations, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls related to materials-management.
• Maintain SOPs, work instructions, forms, logs, and training records.
• Train and supervise materials personnel, assign daily work, and establish backup coverage.
• Monitor storage areas for organization, cleanliness, safety, and capacity.
• Support audits and continuous improvement of daily materials workflows.
• Communicate status, shortages, discrepancies, and decisions to management.
