Job summary

Lonza in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead a cGMP manufacturing team in a highly regulated environment. You will guide daily operations, ensure safety and schedule adherence, and drive training and performance development for operators.

You will collaborate with cross-functional partners and focus on continuous improvement, quality, and compliant production through a rotating 12-hour shift.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in science or HS diploma with relevant experience.
• Experience in a cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems, GMP compliance, and manufacturing operations.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure safe, compliant, and on-time execution of the production schedule.
• Coach, train, and develop operators through performance management and ongoing development.
• Review batch records, logbooks, and production documentation to support timely batch release with minimal errors.
• Coordinate activities across multiple departments to troubleshoot equipment and process-related issues.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, staffing, and workforce planning.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining inspection readiness.
