Job summary

Lonza Group Ltd. in Portsmouth, NH seeks a Senior Manufacturing Associate (Senior Biotechnologist) to lead upstream operations using single-use bioreactors during startup and scale-up.

You will act as SME on the floor, mentor staff, and help drive cGMP compliance and documentation in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art facility. The role requires 5–10 years in cGMP biologics, with preferred background in upstream processing and aseptic techniques, and offers night shifts with differential pay and

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of advanced cGMP biopharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
• Experience in upstream processing is highly desired.
• Strong knowledge of cleanroom and aseptic processing.
• Proficient with electronic quality documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead upstream manufacturing operations for single-use bioreactor systems.
• Manage batch progression and operator training.
• Ensure cGMP compliance and data integrity.
• Prepare and optimize EBR, SOPs and Work Instructions.
• Support facility startup and water runs scheduled for July.
• Collaborate with shift supervisor and SMEs on improvements.
