Job summary

Pitt Community College in North Carolina seeks a Biotechnology Instructor to deliver high-quality instruction across day, evening, online, and hybrid formats while advising and mentoring students. You will contribute to curriculum development and participate in college initiatives.

The role supports the Biotechnology A.S. degree and workforce training programs, including BioWork and aseptic manufacturing, emphasizing cGMP, cleanroom practices, and hands-on lab training.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biology, or related life science field from an accredited college or university.
• Extensive knowledge of biotechnology and QC pharmaceutical laboratory techniques.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (Canvas/Blackboard) and multimedia classroom tools.

Responsibilities

• Teaches assigned courses within the Biotechnology program in various formats (day, evening, online, hybrid, blended).
• Develops and maintains instructional materials including syllabi, lesson plans, objectives, assignments and activities.
• Evaluates and selects textbooks and resources aligned with industry standards.
• Assesses student learning through grading, feedback, and coursework evaluation.
• Maintains accurate academic records and reports.
