Job summary

Amgen's Mission-driven team seeks a Facilities Manager to lead start-up and ongoing operations of a new site. You will partner with Capital Project Delivery and Site Operations to define long-term facility operations strategy, build the F&E facilities team, and hand over to the facilities group while ensuring daily operations across shifts.

The ideal candidate will bring 6+ years in biotech/pharma facility operations, strong vendor management, and deep building systems knowledge within regulated

Qualifications

• 6+ years’ experience in facility operations within biotech/pharma or similar regulated env.
• Experience in vendor management and managing outsourced service providers.
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems and cGMP requirements.
• Ability to analyze complex problems using multiple sources of information.
• Proven ability to set goals and drive continuous improvement with metrics.
• Team leadership and collaboration across multiple organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to start-up and operation of the site facilities and transfer ownership to the facilities team.
• Develop goals, budgets, and ensure alignment with cGMP and safety requirements.
• Oversee ISP delivering facilities management and food services with accountability.
• Ensure procedures are followed by personnel and contractors and support 24/7 plant coverage.
• Drive operational efficiencies through cross-functional collaboration and opportunities.
• Monitor ISP performance and ensure adherence to contracts and SLAs.
• Develop staff, foster innovation, and build effective cross-site teams.
