Job summary

Leerink Partners in New York seeks an Equity Research Associate focused on Cardiology, Pulmonary & Endocrine to collaborate with a Senior Managing Director on biotech analyses and investment ideas.

You will build financial models, write research reports, interview executives, and translate scientific insights into actionable equity recommendations. Prior experience in biotech finance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Candidates should combine medical/scientific insight with financial modeling skills.
• Experience in sell-side equity research, investment banking, VC/PE, or top consulting is preferred.
• Biotech/pharma background and licensing credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Formulate investment recommendations based on fundamental analysis and valuation.
• Write research reports for distribution to clients and sales force.
• Collect and analyze data from papers and clinical data on novel therapeutics.
• Interview executives and thought leaders to inform reports.
• Build and maintain financial models to support investment ideas.
• Stay updated on sector news and conferences and respond to inquiries.
