Job summary

Leerink Partners is seeking an Equity Research Associate – Immuno-Oncology in New York. You will closely collaborate with senior analysts on scientific, clinical, and financial assessments of cancer immunotherapy companies, spanning cell therapy to traditional modalities, across small to large caps.

You will build and maintain models, analyze trial data, and formulate investment recommendations while staying current on regulatory and conference developments.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required (PhD/MD or related Master’s).
• PhD/MD coursework considered for candidates.
• At least one year of relevant business experience in biopharma or equity research.
• Genuine intellectual curiosity and data-driven approach to primary sources.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills; experience with Monte Carlo or survival analysis.
• Strong financial modeling and Excel skills; Access or database experience preferred.
• Knowledge of biotech/pharma industries, regulatory affairs, and commercialization.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze primary data and expert opinion on cancer immunotherapy.
• Maintain and analyze a database of ongoing cancer immunotherapy trials.
• Build, update, and maintain financial models.
• Formulate investment recommendations based on fundamental analysis, valuation, and risk assessment.
• Write research reports and notes for institutional clients.
• Stay current on company, market, scientific, and regulatory developments.
• Support senior analysts at conferences and post-conference analysis.
• Respond to inquiries from firm personnel and clients.
