Job summary

Manpower Group (USA) is seeking a part‑time, temporary R&D technician in Hercules, CA to assist in developing biotechnology and life science educational products for students. This 12‑month assignment offers hands‑on lab work and collaboration with cross‑functional teams on product development and sustaining initiatives.

The role requires a Master’s or PhD in a Life Science field, hands‑on molecular biology and microbiology experience, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• A current, up‑to‑date resume.
• Master’s degree or PhD in Life Science (Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Cell/Microbiology/Immunology/Molecular Biology).
• Experience with molecular biology techniques (DNA extraction, PCR, electrophoresis, cloning, sequencing).
• Experience with microbiology techniques (culturing, sterile practices).
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, execute, and troubleshoot laboratory experiments supporting product development.
• Analyze data and identify solutions to technical challenges.
• Document work and results with accuracy in lab notebooks.
• Collaborate with R&D and Marketing to share updates and next steps.
• Support development and launch of educational biotechnology products and reagent kits.
• Maintain and sustain existing product lines through scientific investigations.
