Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc is seeking a Scientist TEMP to support the BioEducation Program. You will design and execute classroom-focused experiments, analyze data, and document results while collaborating with R&D and Marketing to advance educational products.

The role emphasizes critical thinking, meticulous data handling, and teamwork to make science accessible to students at high school and college levels.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a life science discipline (biotechnology, biochemistry, cell biology, microbiology, immunology, molecular biology preferred).
  • Experience in molecular biology techniques: DNA extraction, PCR, electrophoresis (DNA/protein), plasmid cloning, sequence analysis.
  • Experience with microbiology techniques: bacterial culturing, sterile technique.
  • Strong analytical and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to think critically and work independently, and take direction when given.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare for, execute, and troubleshoot experiments contributing to product development and sustaining projects.
  • Analyze data generated and document lab results in lab notebooks.
  • Meet with the R&D and Marketing teams to discuss results, obstacles, and next steps.

Scientist TEMP, BioEducation Program

Are you passionate about science? Does solving a problem give you the ultimate sense of satisfaction? Our team develops products designed to spark imagination in students and inspire them to become tomorrow’s scientists, problem solvers, and conscientious world citizens. We are currently looking for a Scientist TEMP available immediately to work under the guidance of a R&D team passionate about making science accessible to high school and college students.

What you’ll be doing:

Plan, prepare for, execute, and troubleshoot experiments that contribute to product development and sustaining projects that make science come to life for students. Analyze data that is generated. Document lab work and results in lab notebooks. Meet with the R&D and Marketing teams to provide updates and discuss results, technical obstacles, and next steps.

  • Designing and executing well thought out experiments
