Job summary

Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. seeks a Scientist TEMP for the BioEducation Program to support student-focused product development and lab work.

The role involves planning, executing, and troubleshooting experiments, analyzing data, and documenting results under the R&D team’s guidance. The position requires a Master’s or PhD in a life science field, strong molecular biology techniques, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in a life science discipline (biotechnology, biochemistry, cell biology, microbiology, immunology, molecular biology preferred).
• Experience in molecular biology laboratory techniques including DNA extraction, PCR, electrophoresis (DNA and protein), plasmid cloning, sequence analysis.
• Experience with microbiology techniques including bacterial culturing, sterile technique.
• Strong analytical and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to think critically and work independently, and take direction when given.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• High attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data that is generated.

• Meet with the R&D and Marketing teams to provide updates and discuss results, technical obstacles, and next steps.

Scientist TEMP, BioEducation Program

We are currently looking for a Scientist TEMP available immediately to work under the guidance of a R&D team passionate about making science accessible to high school and college students.

What you’ll be doing:

Pay Rate:$46.44 - 48.04 / hour
Employment Type:Temporary (12-Month Assignment)
Schedule:Part-Time, 26-30 hours per week; Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Thursday, flexible based on business needs
