You will guide a small team, own month-end close, and coordinate audits under US GAAP, while partnering with the VP of Finance on budgeting and forecasting. You will implement strong internal controls, refine policies, and oversee cost accounting, government grants, and R&D spend.

Qualificações

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and controller-level roles.
• Experience leading month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close with financial statements and variance analyses.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and ability to research accounting issues and prepare memos.
• 3+ years of people management; coaching and staff development.
• Experience leading financial statement audits and coordinating with auditors.
• Experience with inventory and cost accounting; cross-functional collaboration.
• Hands-on experience with Netsuite and Bill.com.
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills; ability to explain results to non-finance stakeholders.
• Based in San Francisco with hybrid schedule (Mon–Thu in office, Fri remote).

Responsabilidades

• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team; set priorities and plan future growth.
• Oversee AP/AR, revenue, payroll, fixed assets, and financial reporting.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and year-end close; prepare US GAAP financial statements within timelines.
• Prepare flux analyses and report variances to VP Finance and leadership.
• Lead annual audit, manage auditor relationship, coordinate with technical accounting team.
• Partner with Supply Chain and Ops to bring inventory accounting into NetSuite.
• Design and maintain internal controls to reduce financial risk and ensure accuracy.
• Identify improvements to accounting processes, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with Ossium leaders to optimize finance systems and scale processes.
• Manage external relationships for audit, banking, compliance, insurance, and tax.
• Prepare polished memos and responses for auditors and investors.
• Analyze and communicate financial results to leadership.
