Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required; Big Four experience preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years leading teams in a U.S. publicly traded biotech or life sciences company.
• Hands-on experience in public-company accounting operations, financial close, audit support, and SOX compliance.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems; advanced Excel; track record of improving close, accrual, and reporting processes.
• Strong analytical/communication skills, judgment, integrity, and ability to challenge assumptions.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, reconciliations, and internal management reporting under U.S. GAAP.
• Provide data, reconciliations, and schedules for SEC and external reporting.
• Oversee Clinical/R&D accruals, prepayments, commitments, and program expenses with cross-functional partners.
• Lead SOX and internal control activities; coordinate audit and SOX testing.
• Oversee General Ledger, AP, disbursements, fixed assets, and expense processes.
