Job summary

Perspective Therapeutics seeks an AI Innovation Intern to design and build internal AI tools and workflows during a six-month, onsite internship at our Seattle headquarters. You will prototype solutions, test AI capabilities, and help teams apply AI to real business problems while handling data responsibly.

The role emphasizes collaboration with technical and non-technical colleagues, translating needs into buildable solutions, and documenting results for future adoption.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in computer science, engineering, biostatistics, data science, or another technical field.
• Experience using Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI coding tool to build and deliver at least one working project.
• Experience building an application, tool, automation, or technical project used by others, with ability to explain key design decisions.
• Coursework or practical experience in programming and data structures; exposure to databases, machine learning, or software development practices preferred.
• Experience working with a client, internal team, consulting group, student organization, or freelance project to deliver a technical solution.
• Interest in biotechnology, clinical research, healthcare, or life sciences data is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and improve internal AI tools, automations, and workflows addressing practical business needs.
• Use AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor) to develop prototypes and production-ready solutions.
• Write and maintain code in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript; connect to APIs; work with real-world inputs like spreadsheets and PDFs.
• Create rapid prototypes, gather user feedback, iterate based on usability and value.
• Document requirements, design choices, dependencies, testing results, and next steps.
