Job summary

CSBio in Menlo Park, CA is seeking an AI Software Engineering Intern to build and expand an internal AI tool used for inventory management, purchasing optimization, and manufacturing decision support. The role is onsite for 3 months, ideal for a recent BS graduate who can work independently and ship features with minimal guidance.

You will prototype in Python, Streamlit, and OpenAI APIs, integrate with MISys API, and help turn data workflows into practical tools powering operations.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• Comfortable working solo in a fast-moving, ambiguity-heavy environment.
• Ability to self-teach, experiment, and 'figure it out' without step-by-step instructions.
• Nice to have: Python, Streamlit, APIs, and OpenAI/LLM tools.

Responsibilities

• Refine requirements with leadership and translate goals into working code.
• Build features for internal AI platform using Python, Streamlit, Claude Code, Codex.
• Integrate and optimize data workflows via MISys REST API and data architecture.
• Develop pages for inventory visibility, purchasing logic, and AI insights.
• Troubleshoot end-to-end including data extraction and deployment.
• Prototype quickly, test, and ship features.
