Job summary

Inversion is seeking an AI & Internal Tools Software Engineering Intern to build software that accelerates engineering and business teams. You will own a major project, building internal apps, automation platforms, and AI-enabled tools across the stack—from frontend to APIs and data infrastructure.

You'll work with engineers and stakeholders to understand needs, deliver solutions, and deploy production-grade tools that the company uses daily.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
Demonstrated software development experience through projects, open-source, research, teams or internships.
Familiarity with frontend or backend development, APIs, or databases.
Strong fundamentals in debugging, testing, data structures, and design.
Ability to independently build software and learn new tech.
Strong problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Own a major software project from concept through design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
Design and build full-stack applications with intuitive UIs, backend services, and APIs.
Develop AI-enabled tools and automation for engineering and business workflows.
Integrate LLMs and AI agents into practical software solutions.
Collaborate with engineers, operations, and stakeholders to improve workflows.
Gather user feedback, iterate and deliver production-quality tools.
