Wealthspire invites motivated students to join a 10-week Summer Internship in Chicago to gain hands-on software engineering and AI experience. You will work with our engineering team on meaningful projects, learn how code moves from concept to production, and contribute to development activities that emphasize security, reliability, and scalable practices.

You will explore development pipelines, participate in data preparation and AI tool evaluations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Formación

• Preferably a rising senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Strong interest in software engineering, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.
• Foundational knowledge of at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, JavaScript.
• Basic understanding of software development concepts, data structures, algorithms, APIs, databases, or cloud technologies.
• Exposure to AI, machine learning, automation, or data analysis through coursework, academic projects, or prior experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with close attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
• Ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Support the design, development, testing, and implementation of software and AI-enabled solutions under the guidance of experienced engineers.
• Contribute to meaningful projects that address business needs and improve operational efficiency.
• Assist with writing, reviewing, and troubleshooting code while following established development standards and best practices.
• Participate in data preparation, model testing, and the evaluation of AI tools or solutions, as applicable.
• Support the integration and deployment of applications across development and production environments.
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, security, and business teams to understand requirements and deliver practical technology solutions.
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation, including project updates, testing results, and process guides.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing opportunities throughout the internship.
• Lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds, with reasonable accommodations available to support the performance of essential job functions.
