Qualifications

• 18 graduate semester hours in biology, biotechnology, microbiology or a related biological science sub-field plus a Master’s degree or Master’s degree in biology, biotechnology, microbiology or a related biological science sub-field

Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers instruction on Biotechnology topics.
• Compiles, administers, evaluates and grades student work and provides prompt progress updates.
• Develops curricula and instructional materials such as syllabi, assignments, and handouts.
• Maintains office hours and assists in student recruitment and retention; helps with course-related issues.
• Maintains accurate attendance records, grades and FERPA-compliant documentation.
• Attends faculty meetings and professional development activities.
• Keeps abreast of developments in the field and participates in conferences.
• Participates in departmental/college committees and outreach activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Department Head/Dean.

Education

Master’s degree plus 18 graduate hours in biology/biotechnology or related field
