Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an Associate Director of Statistics in the United States to provide statistical leadership for clinical development and lifecycle management. You will work with cross-functional teams to drive design, analysis and reporting for pivotal trials and regulatory submissions.

The role requires deep expertise in statistics and strong communication skills to explain complex analyses to nontechnical stakeholders, while mentoring staff and guiding external partners to ensure compliance

Qualifications

Minimum 10+ years of experience with MS in Statistics or 6+ years with PhD.
Strong statistical methodology and leadership across clinical development.
Excellent written and oral communication to technical and nontechnical audiences.
Proven ability to independently lead work across competing priorities.
Able to build relationships with peers and cross-functional partners; drive innovation.

Responsibilities

Provide statistical leadership for clinical development projects and regulatory submissions.
Lead design, analysis and reporting for clinical or scientific research programs.
Represent function on project teams and align with cross-functional partners.
Propose novel statistical methods and ensure analyses follow protocols.
Train and mentor staff; may supervise junior statisticians.
Develop strategy for data presentation and publication; ensure accuracy of reports.
Act as liaison for statistical issues with CROs and collaborators.
Ensure regulatory compliance and SOP adherence.
