Job summary

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Statistics/Biostatistics with required experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to explain complex statistical concepts clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Proven ability to independently lead work across competing priorities, manage timelines, and deliver high-quality outputs.
• Strategic leadership and cross-functional collaboration across Clinical, Regulatory, and Safety teams.
• Pharmaceutical or related industry knowledge including drug development and lifecycle management in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide statistical leadership for clinical development and lifecycle management strategies for assigned projects.
• Lead design, analysis and reporting for clinical or scientific research programs; develop protocols and SAPs.
• Represent function on project teams and partner with Clinical, Regulatory, Patient Safety, and GMA to align development strategies.
• Demonstrate advanced statistical methods; propose novel approaches and ensure analyses follow protocols and SAPs.
• Train and mentor staff; may supervise contract or junior statisticians; support recruitment and development of staff.
• Develop strategy for data presentation and inference; ensure accurate interpretation of deliverables; contribute to publications.
• Act as liaison for statistical issues on AbbVie collaborative studies with CROs and external partners; build external scientific connections.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for work processes; participate in regulatory discussions; validate external statistics software.
