Job summary

AbbVie Inc. is seeking an Associate Director, Statistics to provide statistical leadership for clinical development and lifecycle management across multiple projects.

You will partner with interdisciplinary teams to advance medicines from development through regulatory submission and publication. The role requires deep statistical expertise, strong communication, and the ability to mentor staff while driving innovative methods and robust data interpretation within a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated depth in statistical methodology and its practical application.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Proven ability to independently lead work across competing priorities and manage timelines.
• Experience with drug development and lifecycle management in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide statistical leadership for design, analysis and reporting of clinical trials and related programs.
• Lead/develop statistical strategy for project development and regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with Clinical, Regulatory, Patient Safety, and GMA to align development strategies.
• Mentor staff on statistical methods and operations; supervise junior statisticians as needed.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and accurate interpretation of statistical deliverables.
