Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX seeks a Biostatistical Consultant to provide statistical expertise for faculty, staff and students across clinical and population health projects.

You will apply advanced study designs, matching, quasi-experimental methods, machine learning and multivariate regression to real datasets, including Epic Cosmos or other health records. Collaboration, curiosity and rigorous analysis are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s in biostatistics or MPH with biostatistics concentration.
• Experience: 1 year in statistical consulting; biomedical/healthcare setting preferred.
• Must know SAS, SPSS or other major stats package (R, etc.) and MS Office (Excel, Access).

Responsibilities

• Provide statistical consultation for faculty, staff and students.
• Design experiments, analyze data, interpret results and prepare reports.
• Write statistical sections of manuscripts and assist with grant proposals.
• Create graphical and tabular representations and develop in-house analysis programs.
