Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks a Biostatistical Consultant I to support investigator-initiated research within the Division of General Internal Medicine. You will collaborate with the research analytic team on cancer-related clinical and health services studies using real-world datasets, providing statistical consultation under faculty guidance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in biostatistics or MPH with biostatistics concentration.
• 1 year in statistical consulting in biomedical or health care environment.
• Working knowledge of SAS, SPSS or other major statistical package (S+, R, etc.) and Microsoft Office (ACCESS and EXCEL).

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with investigators to identify problems and provide statistical consultation including design of experiments or survey, analysis of data, interpretation of results and preparation of reports.
• Writes statistical portions of manuscripts and addresses revisions based on reviewer comments.
• Assists client data organization and performs statistical computations.
• Provides graphical and tabular representations and maintains in-house programs.
• Collaborates on grant development including statistical design of studies and preparation of statistical portions.
