Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center seeks a Biostatistical Consultant I to provide statistical consultation for faculty, staff, and students. You will collaborate with investigators on study design, data analysis, interpretation of results, and manuscript preparation, supporting grant development and data organization.

The role requires a Master’s in biostatistics or MPH with biostatistics, at least 1 year of consulting experience, and proficiency in SAS, SPSS, R, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in biostatistics or MPH with concentration in biostatistics.
• Minimum 1 year of statistical consulting experience, preferably in biomedical/healthcare.
• Experience with SAS, SPSS or other major statistical packages and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with investigators to identify problems and provide statistical consultation including design of experiments and analysis.
• Writes the statistical portion of manuscripts and addresses reviewer comments.
• Assists client data organization and performs statistical computations.
• Provides graphical and tabular representations of results.
• Develops and maintains in-house programs.
• Collaborates on grant development including study design and statistical portions.
