Advocate Health Care in North Carolina seeks a laboratory professional to support NIH-funded studies through processing and management of human biospecimens. The role performs specialized lab procedures, maintains specimen integrity and documentation, and supports quality, regulatory compliance, and daily operations.

The candidate ensures proper handling of specimens, performs PBMC isolation and cryopreservation, and collaborates with researchers to advance translational studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Science, Biotechnology, Health Sciences, or a related field, plus at least two years of relevant laboratory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with biospecimen processing, biobanking, cryogenic storage, PBMC isolation, LIMS, and clinical or translational research is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Process, preserve, store, track, and ship human biological specimens.
• Perform procedures including aliquoting, cell counting, viability testing, PBMC isolation, and cryopreservation.
• Maintain specimen inventory, chain-of-custody records, and laboratory databases.
• Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Support quality control, regulatory compliance, and laboratory workflow improvements.
• Collaborate with investigators, research teams, and laboratory partners.
