Job summary

Indiana University in Indianapolis seeks a Biorepository Lab Manager for the MMGE - Hereditary Genomics Lab. The role leads research activities, develops protocols, oversees accessioning and data management, and ensures regulatory compliance.

You will supervise staff, maintain equipment, document sample handling, and support grant-funded projects with the IU School of Medicine.

Salary range $65,000–$75,000/year plus comprehensive benefits; exempt, full-time.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's preferred.
• 4 years of laboratory experience.
• 4 years accessioning experience.
• Experience with LIMS/OpenSpecimen is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead research activities and protocol development to ensure best practice and effective processes.
• Review and implement changes to biorepository lab protocols for storage and analysis of specimens.
• Supervise, mentor, and train junior staff.
• Prepare summary data reports and maintain databases for storage and analysis.
• Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.
• Maintain equipment and service contracts; troubleshoot malfunctions.
