Job summary

Indiana University Indianapolis is seeking a dedicated researcher to join an NIH-funded team. The role focuses on defining novel mechanisms of a bone-derived hormone and its impact on systemic mineral metabolism, employing mouse genetics, molecular biology, physiology, and single-cell genomics.

The successful candidate will lead experiments, manage equipment and budgets, and mentor junior staff in a collaborative, in-person, NIH-supported environment. This position is not visa-sponsoring.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in science with 4 years of research experience.
• Bachelor's degree in science with 6 years of research experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads research activities and protocol development.
• Maintains equipment, preventive maintenance and vendor relations.
• Supervises and trains junior staff.
• Prepares data reports and maintains databases.
• Ensures compliance with regulations.
• Collaborates on budget development.
• Establishes goals, policies and procedures.
• May assist with grant applications and related activities.
