Job summary

Indiana University in Indianapolis seeks a highly skilled research technician to support wet-lab and translational research on genetic disease mechanisms. The role includes molecular biology, cell culture, and in vivo mouse work in a collaborative, fast-paced lab.

Responsibilities include data analysis, figure prep, documentation, and SOPs, with strong emphasis on quality and reproducibility. Bachelor's degree and 2+ years’ related experience preferred; in-person work required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or related field is required.
• 2 years of related research experience; 3 years preferred.
• Experience with animal models and mouse colony management desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform data analysis, figure preparation, and research documentation.
• Carry out molecular biology experiments (PCR/qPCR, cloning, DNA/RNA prep) and QC.
• Execute Western blotting, imaging, and quantitative analysis.
• Maintain animal work, including mouse colonies and genotyping.
• Keep detailed records and ensure reproducibility of results.
• Support lab operations, inventory, safety, and SOPs.
