Job summary

ATCC, a leading nonprofit biological resources and standards organization, seeks a Repository Technician with warehouse, shipping or inventory experience onsite in Frederick, MD. You will support storage, retrieval, and shipping of biomaterials for government and commercial clients.

Responsibilities include temperature-controlled storage monitoring, shipment processing, and maintaining proper cold chain documentation in line with GDP and cGMP standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Warehouse, shipping/handling, or inventory experience required.
• Data entry experience preferred.
• Attention to detail for batch number and item number differentiation and counting.
• Willingness and ability to learn inventory management systems.
• Ability to learn and follow quality control/assurance procedures.
• Effective communication in English (both verbal and written), strong organizational skills.
• Staff hired for the NCI Central Repository Program must be eligible to obtain an NIH Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Card by submitting a Declaration of Federal Employment form within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Laboratory and Material Handling: Monitor and maintain temperature-controlled storage systems, ensure inventory organization, and wear proper PPE while obtaining biomaterials from repository freezers.
• Operations Coordination: Processing incoming shipments, stock replenishment and inventory, and preparing samples for shipment.
• Organization and Documentation: Manage inventory and maintain biological materials in proper cold chain environment (196°C (-321°F) degrees to 29°C (85°F) degrees) through monitoring of storage systems, freezers and tanks. Performing functions following standard operating procedures, systematic data entry, and performing good documentation practices (GDP) and maintaining cGMP standards.
