Job summary

ATCC, a global nonprofit providing trusted biological materials, seeks a Repository Technician to support inventory management, storage, and shipping of materials for government and commercial clients. This onsite role is based in Gaithersburg, MD and offers exposure to biorepository standards while handling critical inventory and material processes.

Ideal candidates have warehouse/shipping experience and familiarity with regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: HS Diploma and 1 year of experience.
• Experience in warehouse operations, shipping and handling, or inventory management.
• Ability to maintain inventory accuracy and differentiate batch numbers and item numbers.
• High degree of attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn inventory management and ERP systems.
• Ability to follow quality control and quality assurance procedures.
• Effective verbal and written English communication and strong organization.

Responsibilities

• Inventory Management: Maintain inventory accuracy, stock replenishment, and organization.
• Material Handling: Retrieve biomaterials from repository freezers, monitor storage, follow PPE.
• Shipping & Receiving: Process inbound shipments and prepare materials for outbound shipment.
• Cold Chain Operations: Maintain temperature-controlled environments with freezers and LN2 storage.
• Documentation & Data Entry: Perform data entry and maintain records per procedures.
• Quality & Compliance: Follow SOPs, GDP, and cGMP standards in repository operations.

The Repository Technician supports warehouse operations involving inventory management, storage, retrieval, and shipping of biological materials for commercial and government clients. This onsite position is based in Gaithersburg, MD and provides exposure to biorepository industry standards while supporting critical inventory, shipping, and material handling activities.

Seeking Repository Technician, ideally with warehouse, shipping, handling, or inventory management experience and experience supporting biorepository, laboratory, or regulated operations environments. Great opportunity to gain biotech industry experience for someone with inventory or warehouse experience. Responsibilities

• Inventory Management: Maintain inventory accuracy, stock replenishment activities, and organization of biological materials.
• Material Handling: Retrieve biomaterials from repository freezers, monitor storage systems, and follow PPE requirements when handling materials.
• Shipping & Receiving: Process incoming shipments and prepare biological materials and samples for outbound shipment.
• Cold Chain Operations: Maintain materials within temperature-controlled environments through monitoring of freezers, liquid nitrogen tanks, and storage systems.
• Documentation & Data Entry: Perform systematic data entry and maintain accurate records following established procedures.
• Quality & Compliance: Follow standard operating procedures, good documentation practices (GDP), and cGMP standards while supporting repository operations.

Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $40,000 to $50,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional incentive compensation including regular merit increases and the corporate bonus program.
