Job summary

Aztalan Bio LLC in Jefferson, WI, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a Mon–Fri 2:00pm–10:30pm schedule. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment, troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues, and ensure safe, reliable operation of the facility.

This full-time role offers competitive pay of $30–$38/hr plus a $2 shift premium, and a strong benefits package including medical, dental, vision, PTO and sick time, with an on-call rotation

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Welding and/or fabrication experience and certification (as applicable)
• Experience with conveyors, pumps, valves, etc.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical blueprints and the ability to operate various mechanical equipment
• Forklift certification
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Safety-focused with good math aptitude

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and planned maintenance on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues.
• Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the facility.
• Participate in a weekly on-call rotation to respond to off-hours maintenance needs.
• Maintain production equipment, including renewal and repair of parts and components.
• Disassemble and repair plant equipment including pumps, heat exchangers, conveyors, valves, and fans.
• Adjust equipment to maintain process parameters (alignment, balancing, lubrication).
• Register maintenance jobs in the systems and keep tools and workspace clean.
