Job summary

POET is seeking an on-site Plant Engineer in Alexandria, IN to partner with site leadership on plant operations and capital projects. You will drive continuous improvement, improve run time, troubleshoot process issues, and focus on cost efficiency across bioprocessing facilities.

You will manage capital requests, develop economic justifications, and collaborate with engineers to implement cross-site improvements. A strong engineering background and PM experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is required.
• Experience in a process plant environment is beneficial.
• Leadership and project management skills are highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Develop, present, and manage capital projects with economic justifications for site leadership.
• Identify opportunities for plant improvements and drive continuous improvement and cost savings.
• Analyze process data and create action plans for optimization and operability improvements.
• Support safety, regulatory, and change-management documentation and site initiatives.
