Job summary

POET is seeking a Plant Engineer in Chancellor, SD to partner with the management team to maintain bioprocessing operations and drive continuous improvement and capital projects.

You will lead data analysis, justify capital requests, and collaborate with engineers to implement cost-saving initiatives across facilities, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance while supporting site leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in operating processing plant environment is beneficial.
• Familiarity with DCS control systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support management to maintain bioprocessing operations and implement improvements.
• Identify opportunities for capital projects and develop economic justifications.
• Collaborate with engineers to drive cost savings and continuous improvement.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance across sites.
