Job summary

Amgen’s Rhode Island AR6 Pilot Plant seeks an Associate Manufacturing to support cell culture, harvest, and purification studies at 500L scale. You will operate single-use bioreactors, centrifugation, chromatography skids, and filtration systems on a day shift with off-shift/weekend coverage.

Required is a degree in science or biotech with hands-on manufacturing experience; preferred is experience across unit operations and process development in a biotech setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree plus biotech manufacturing/engineering experience.
• High school diploma or GED plus 2 years biotech manufacturing/process development experience.

Responsibilities

• Aseptically maintain mammalian cell culture through vial thaw, flask passaging, and bioreactor operation to harvest.
• Operate centrifugation, multistage clarification and filtration, and purification steps including IEX and chromatography.
• Support process development, technology transfer, OE initiatives, and equipment maintenance; document data.
