Job summary

Amgen in Thousand Oaks seeks a Biophysics Scientist to advance drug discovery through state-of-the-art SPR binding analysis of biologics and cross-species selectivity studies.

You will generate and interpret data, collaborate across functions and with Computational Sciences to develop ML/AI models that improve molecular attributes, with a comprehensive benefits program and competitive total rewards.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree PhD or equivalent.
• MD or PharmD are acceptable.
• Masters with 3+ years of scientific experience or Bachelors with 5+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement and execute high-throughput binding affinity characterization using SPR on biologics.
• Determine cross-species selectivity and study mechanism of action related to binding.
• Generate and analyze data and communicate results clearly in writing and orally.
• Collaborate with scientists across functions.
• Interface with Computational Sciences to develop ML/AI models improving molecular attributes.
