Position Details

Title: Biophysical Associate Scientist

Position Type: 1 year contract with additional opportunity contingent upon performance and continued business need

Job Location: Darien, CT

Shift: 1st

Compensation: $30-$35/HR

Responsibilities

• Collect samples and prepare hair swatches for testing in accordance with established procedures.


• Perform technical procedures to evaluate product performance on hair using a variety of laboratory equipment and instrumentation.


• Analyze experimental data, perform statistical calculations, and draw conclusions to support product claims.


• Accurately document experimental work and prepare reports on product evaluations in accordance with company policies, procedures, and standards.


• Maintain organized and adequately stocked laboratory consumables and supplies.


• Assemble, disassemble, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment as needed.


• Assist with the research and development of new testing methods and exploratory claims substantiation.


• Analyze consumer insights and survey data to identify trends and support the development of new claims language.


• Maintain and organize internal documentation and records within the company database.
