Job summary

Servier Pharmaceuticals in Boston seeks an Associate Counsel, Contracting to provide practical, business-oriented contracting support across U.S. functions with a focus on R&D activities.

You will independently draft, review, negotiate, and manage agreements, while addressing legal, privacy, regulatory, and operational risk. This role emphasizes template development, playbooks, and process improvements, with a hybrid in-person/office presence in Seaport.

Qualifications

• JD or LLM from an accredited US law school.
• Admitted to practice in a US jurisdiction and MA In-House Counsel if not MA.
• 4–7+ years in biopharma, pharma, biotech, healthcare, or life sciences with contracting experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, business-oriented contracting support across US functions including R&D, Medical Affairs, Commercial, Market Access, Patient Services, Finance, Procurement, IT, and other corporate functions, with emphasis on R&D-related contracting.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a broad range of agreements, including CDAs, consulting agreements, MSAs, SOWs, clinical trial agreements, and data/privacy agreements.
• Support negotiations by identifying legal, compliance, privacy, regulatory, IP, and operational risks and working with stakeholders to reach timely resolutions.
• Advise and educate stakeholders on contracting terms, confidentiality, indemnification, termination, and other material terms.
• Monitor, manage, and report on contracting matters to Senior Counsel and improve contracting processes.
