Penumbra’s Contracts Counsel will draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including NDAs, SaaS, and data processing agreements, while advising management on contracting and compliance with healthcare laws.

You will collaborate with Sales, Regulatory, IT, and Finance, improving contract templates and playbooks, and leading staff development within a dynamic life sciences environment in Alameda, CA.

Qualifications

J.D. required with 3+ years of relevant legal experience.
Bachelor's degree required; bar membership preferred (CA or ability to obtain).
Experience in life sciences or regulated industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate NDAs, SaaS, licenses, data processing, and vendor agreements.
Provide business-oriented guidance to management and stakeholders, especially Sales, Regulatory, IT, and Finance.
Advise on contracting and compliance with healthcare and life sciences laws.
Address data privacy and security issues domestically and internationally.
Lead contract templates, playbooks, and staff development.
