Job summary

MMR Consulting in the biopharma sector seeks a Process Automation engineer to design, implement, and commission process systems for life sciences facilities. Travel to client sites is expected and you will lead/mentor junior engineers and coordinate with equipment vendors.

Experience with Emerson DeltaV (DCS) and SCADA/Historians is preferred, along with electrical drawings, PLC/DCS programming, and GMP data integrity knowledge.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and spoken English is required.
• Knowledge of GMP requirements for pharma/biotech facilities is preferred.
• Experience with data integrity requirements and GAMP is required.
• 5+ years pharma process automation with 3+ years DCS/SCADA/Historians is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance for design, project management, commissioning and start-up of automation systems.
• Support project execution from feasibility to handover, including FE/Concept/Basic/Detail design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Lead/mentor junior engineers and coordinate with vendors and contractors.
• Prepare/review URS, FRS, SDS, DDS, and valve/alarm matrices.
• Perform programming/configuration of DCS/PLCs and review vendor software.
• Coordinate cross-disciplinary meetings and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
