Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in Clayton, NC seeks an Automation Engineer to support Process Control Systems and MES at a biopharma site. You will configure MES platforms, enable real-time data capture, automate workflows, and integrate systems to meet compliant manufacturing standards.

Collaborate with Process Engineers and Operations to review specifications, support audits, manage changes, and help develop SOPs while adhering to safety and quality protocols. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• 3–7 years' experience in process manufacturing systems.
• Knowledge of MES platforms (Emerson Syncade, PAS-X), DCS/SCADA, SQL, and programming languages VB.Net/PowerShell/C#.
• Experience in process-based manufacturing, utility or packaging operations.

Responsibilities

• Configure and support MES platforms, enable real-time production data capture, automate workflows and integrate systems.
• Collaborate with Process Engineers and Operations to develop and review system specifications.
• Support audits, implement change management, and participate in SOP development.
• Adhere to safety and quality protocols.
• Support site initiatives.
