Job summary

PCI Services is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our Linden Road facility in Rockford, IL. The role focuses on installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment to support packaging lines and ensure a safe, productive environment.

The ideal candidate will perform preventive maintenance, tune line operations, and collaborate with Engineering and Production to meet site goals. Overtime and weekend work may be required; PPE and safety practices are expected at all times.

Qualifications

• Basic mathematical skills required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to operate common software.
• Minimum professional proficiency: read and participate in conversations.
• High reasoning: solve practical problems using data from multiple sources.

Responsibilities

• Support packaging lines with routine and non-routine adjustments to ensure high-quality product.
• Collaborate with other departments to keep lines running efficiently.
• Perform preventive maintenance, changeovers, repairs, and running adjustments.
• Read equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and services.
• Escalate downtime promptly to supervisor and provide guidance to others as needed.
• Attend problem-definitions meetings and drive countermeasures for line performance.
