Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services in Columbia, MO is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day workflows, systems, staff, and resources in a regulated lab environment.

You will lead staffing, budget management, SOP updates, audits, CAPAs, and collaborate with management to improve client service and operational efficiency.

Candidates should hold a BSc in Cell & Molecular Biology or Biochemistry, with supervisory experience and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement of BSc in Cell & Molecular Biology or Biochemistry.
• Significant supervisory experience in a laboratory environment.
• Strong leadership, project management, regulatory knowledge, problem-solving, and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage operational workflows and systems supporting client-facing activities within the assigned department.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for specialized operational functions and provide technical guidance to staff.
• Oversee staff scheduling, workload planning, resource allocation, and daily operational execution to ensure timely delivery of services.
• Act as the primary departmental contact for internal, client, and regulatory audits and inspections, including preparation of responses and implementation of CAPA activities.
• Manage departmental supplies, equipment, and budgets to support efficient operations.
• Develop, review, and implement SOPs, policies, and procedures while ensuring adherence to applicable regulatory standards.
• Train, mentor, and develop staff while fostering teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
• Collaborate with project management, business development, commercial teams, and senior leadership to support proposals and operational execution.
