Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Life Sciences Manufacturing SME / Pre-Sales Lead in Chicago, IL. You will translate complex Biopharma challenges into scalable IoT-enabled manufacturing solutions, leading discovery with client stakeholders and developing solution roadmaps.

You will draft architecture documents, respond to RFIs/RFPs, and guide the lifecycle from concept to post-market support, while collaborating with internal product engineering, IoT, cloud and data teams.

Qualifications

• 14+ years of experience in Life Sciences, Engineering, Manufacturing, IoT or Industrial Automation with Biopharma domain expertise.
• Experience in SME, Pre-Sales, Consulting or Engineering Advisory roles supporting complex technology.
• Experience with Smart Manufacturing/Industry 4.0 use cases and communication of complex concepts to technical and business stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Life Sciences Manufacturing SME for IoT and Smart Manufacturing opportunities, leading discovery with client stakeholders.
• Translate client challenges into IoT-enabled solutions, architectures, roadmaps and transformation initiatives.
• Lead technical responses for RFPs/RFIs, proposals, statements of work and architecture documents; develop reference architectures and use cases.
• Conduct client workshops, deep-dives and architecture discussions, guiding across product development lifecycle from concept to post-market support.
• Contribute to reusable IoT offerings, accelerators and industry frameworks with focus on regulated Life Sciences (quality, validation, data integrity, security, GxP).
