Fortvita Biologics, a San Francisco Bay Area biopharmaceutical company, seeks an Accountant or Sr. Accountant to support our US Finance function. You will handle month-end close, accounts payable, employee expenses, fixed assets, and group reporting in collaboration with Operations, HR, IT, and Legal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Progressive accounting experience; US GAAP knowledge.
• Experience with ERP systems and internal controls advisable.
• Biopharma industry experience a plus; CPA/CPA-candidate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable, coding, approvals, and vendor payments.
• Review and process employee expense reports per policy.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and support inventory counts.
• Support internal controls documentation and cross-functional initiatives.
• Coordinate with global finance for group reporting and audits.
