Job summary

Premise Health is seeking Health Screeners in Eau Claire, WI to perform biometric testing and blood collection at client sites. The role offers event-based scheduling with morning availability and competitive hourly pay.

Responsibilities include recording biometric results, venipuncture and fingerstick draws, sample preparation, and station setup. Prior phlebotomy experience and clean background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Active phlebotomy certification or approved program externship experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fingerstick and venipuncture blood draws in a fast-paced environment.
• Prepare specimens for storage or processing.
• Set up and dismantle portable biometric stations at events.
• Transport supplies to events as needed (up to 20 lbs).
• Maintain logs for all laboratory transactions per policy and regulation.

About the role

These positions are as-needed opportunities and offer flexibility in scheduling and highly competitive pay. We send you out to local companies within your area to perform health screenings for the employees of the companies.

Success Factors

Strong customer service skills, previous venipuncture and/or fingerstick experience, ability to use a manual blood pressure cuff, tech savvy and excellent communication skills.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform and record biometric testing results including, but not limited to height, weight, blood pressure, body fat, and BMI (Body Mass Index)
• Blood testing including fingerstick and / or venipuncture blood draws in a fast-paced environment
• Preparation of specimens for storage or additional processing
• Set up and break down portable blood draw / biometric station(s)
• May need to transport supplies to and from health screening events (lifting up to 20 lbs.)
• Maintains the logs and records for all Laboratory transactions and information in accordance with department and regulatory requirements
• Must have morning availability (Monday-Friday) for event-based employment
• May require other duties as assigned

Education

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required
• Current national certification in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR one of the following:
• Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Phlebotomy program with hands-on externship completed
• Over 100 successful fingersticks within the last year or a minimum of 200 successful venipuncture blood draws within the last 6 months
• Active state specific Phlebotomy certification is required for candidates performing phlebotomy in NV, CA WA, and LA

Experience

• 1 year of experience of Health Screening or Phlebotomy experience preferred
